how to choose the right grind for your assortment?

You can choose a bean or freshly ground assortment. When choosing your coffee assortment, you must select the grind that best suits your preparation.

As a reminder, the adjustment of the coffee grind is one of the crucial elements to make a good coffee. A too fine grind can quickly bring bitterness in your cup. On the other hand, a grind that is too thick will not reveal all its aromas.

Your grind must also correspond to the duration of your infusion. Indeed, the smaller your grind, the more it will be exposed to the water and therefore the brewing time must be reduced. For example, an espresso should be brewed between 20 and 30 seconds with a relatively fine grind. A plunger coffee maker requires a 4 minute brew, so a thicker grind should be used.

To be sure to choose the right grind for a coffee set, know that an espresso or Italian coffee maker will require a fine or very fine grind, for a piston coffee maker you should choose a coarse grind and for a preparation in a filter coffee maker choose a medium grind.
