This is the crazy story of a resurrection. Reunion Island, an exceptional volcanic soil, is the cradle of a unique and rare variety, the Laurina known as Bourbon Pointu because of the shape of its shrub. Fragile, not very productive and capricious, it did not resist to modernity and disappeared. But, a little more than 10 years ago, some producers decided otherwise, and brought back the source. Patrice and Nadia De Berge are among them. Today, they cultivate a 3,500m2 plot of land and produce less than 400kg of coffee per year.
